Horizon is what happens when you refine a layout over nearly 50 builds and strip away everything that doesn’t earn its weight. Built on a 2025 Mercedes Sprinter AWD chassis with just 36 miles, this van represents the current state of what we’ve learned works for living on the road.

The charcoal cabinetry with walnut accents creates a clean, functional space that doesn’t try too hard. Our bed system gives you 80″ of sleeping space – enough to actually sleep sideways comfortably – while maintaining access to the rear cargo bay where your bikes, skis, or climbing gear live. The walnut countertop with flush-mounted induction cooktop and undermount sink isn’t just aesthetic; it’s the result of testing what holds up to daily use and what doesn’t.

Climate control matters when you’re chasing seasons. Thinsulate insulation, an Espar diesel heater integrated with the vehicle’s fuel system, and a 12V air conditioner mean you’re equipped whether you’re escaping summer heat in Moab or waiting out a storm in the Tetons. The heated water system and outdoor shower with temperature control add the convenience that makes extended trips actually sustainable.

The 660Ah Victron Smart Lithium system paired with 460W solar and a 3000W inverter provides legitimate off-grid capability. We’ve lived on systems like this for weeks at a time – it works. Alternator and shore power charging give you options when solar isn’t enough.

Outside, Horizon carries what you need: our modular roof rack with LED light bar, Owl Vans bike rack, cargo box, ladder, and tire carrier. The rear cargo bay with oversized storage drawers is sized for actual gear, not just weekend camping equipment. A slide-out composting toilet stays hidden until you need it.

Mercedes’ factory tech – 360° cameras, DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist – makes the drive comfortable. The AWD system gets you to trailheads and remote zones that would turn around a 2WD van.
